Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
My name is Raven or if that is too hard to remember I will answer to Bitch and not have an issue to being called it. Tho my profile says I have only been here since 2009 it LIES. I have had two name changes since joining in 2007.
I am obviously more manic than anything else (I rarely have depression and I wouldnt know an even keel day if it bit me in the ass). I have other mental issues - OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Self Injury and a few drug addictions and a handful of physical shit - brain tumor, COPD, Fibromyalgia and just learned I recently had a stroke,
I am the mother of two extroidenary girls 22 and 20 both unmedicated beepers and my SO is the best girlfriend I could ever ask for. She is also a DS member.
I am on full ride disability but work nights as a phone sex operator/
Some say I am rude and crude I prefer to think of myself as opinionated but honest either way I am a rebel and definatly march to the beat of a drummer that noone else does
However I was only DXd with BP in October and am still not medicated waiting on MD appointment.
I am looney and insane but am truly a nice person.
I'm Dara and I'm g;ad to meet you. I was dx about ten years ago and my current coctail basically works well for me. Right now Im stable but that's subject to change at any moment.
Peace,
Dara
My name is Vickie. I live with my husband and 2 girls in WV. Since there isn't very much support in my small city I turned to the boards not long after being formerly diagnosed and I have enjoyed being here. I have BP1, Mixed with Psychotic Features. I thought the psychotic features specifier was taken off a couple of weeks ago when they did a tegretol level draw, but low and behold I have had a setback due to an unforeseen med change and again I am unstable. I work in a mental health crisis unit so I am very upfront with my co-workers and the clients (or certain clients) that I am BP and there is an importance holistic treatment...I ramble on lol...but anyway, it is very nice to meet you and I hope to see you around for a long time.
