Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
so i started my new job last monday. It is decent pay and the health insurance is FABULOUS!!! There is a MAJOR problem with a few of the people in my department though. MAJOR cattiness and MAJOR unprofessionalism. I am working in a huge doctor's office. Not only are these two chicks in my department rude and catty to ME, but they are very shitty towards the patients and when they have checked the patients in, they proceed to TALK about them after they go sit in the waiting room!!!! They have NO work ethic AT ALL. I wanted to cry all week. I also wanted to go back and ask if i could have my old job back. I cant do that. I was struggling to make ends meet AND getting treated like complete shit on top of it. i kind of told one of the supervisors at my new job what is going on and i was told to hang on because there are going to be changes. Idk what that means. I have noticed that not many people are very friendly there. Idk why that is. I need to not internalize everything and take things so personally. I know they talk about everyone behind their backs so i am sure i won’t be spared. I need to find a way for it not get to me. I am afraid of how i am going to do mentally if this job doesn’t work out. I realllly want it to because of the pay and benefits!!! any suggestions on how to deal with the BS???? thank you all for being here for me!!!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Take care,
kat
I agree with OldCPer. Do the best you can, with your strong work ethic, steer clear of the negativity because EVERY job has it. It’s how you cope with it that can make each day tolerable. I like the phrase “lead by example.” Even if you’re not in a leadership position I think it’s such a noble commitment to want to work as you expect others to work. You have to kind of make your peace with the modern day workplace and count the good in each day.
Best wishes!
