Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I've newly been diagnosed and I am struggling.
I have panic attacks and extreme anxiety at night time. I wonder if that is common or if that is just me.
I often worry that I will melt down or have a mood swing or just lose it at any time. I tried to visit my family recently but went home early because I was just not feeling okay and it was really overwhelming.
I just changed my med dosage and I am not used to the sedation yet.
I am very thankful for my fianc and all of her patience with this. She has been so supportive.
Does anyone else worry about just losing it? I've been so moody and I have trouble controlling it or getting through it.
Any advice? Am I alone in this?

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

Welcome to the group.
People who don't have it really don't understand and I get why, because I didn't understand before I started getting bad. But it makes it hard to be around people
I ended up crying tonight and getting really anxious.
It is scary when we're first diagnosed and it can take a while to find the right meds and the right dosages
We do have a very treatable disorder though sweetie so don't despair and you will find the right treatment... Try to be patient the best you can and educate yourself
There is a ton on info about BP on the net and this is a great board to visit... big hug...xo
