I used to be with someone who expected me to work overtime, not spend even a couple of bucks on myself at lunch at work ever, come home (by walking or begging a ride from coworkers, she couldn't be bothered to pick me up in her car), wash dishes and weed the yard for hours and hours, and I was, "a taker", according to her. I agree with shelly4 and dd... divorce is a serious decision... a friend of mine said once that people should work their way out of a marriage... in a sense that it should have been given at least in the end counseling to identify if there is anything that could be salvaged or something to build upon... its easy to make decisions with emotions and come to regret them later on....

If SSDI is not alot of money as some have mentioned, then its enough of a reason to consider your options... I believe its good to have a supportive spouse but it takes two people in a marriage to make it work... is he lashing out in words because what he has asked of you in the marriage is still an issue?

Sorry your husband is being such a jerk. I gained a lot of weight on seroquel and my ex said some hurtful things to me. Take care of yourself.

I really truly feel he's sorry for what he's done to me. Because he rented me a game today for two days and took me out to dairy queen and all I had to do in return was ten minutes on the stepper on the wii. SO I guess things are happier now.
