I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
I put on some music i like and then do one thing at a time.. sometimes if i focus on just cleaning the floors, the rest takes care of itself.
good luck... i have been there too many times. kudos for trying xo
maybe i need some of fartgirls spicy chocolate to get motivated... ;)
i do 10 minutes work then take a break
i break the chores down to 10 minute tasks
and try and do a couple at least every day to keep it ticking over but it's hard sometimes
I find that it motivates me if I get my kids to start some things. I always feel better doing it with someone else. My boys are all adults now and have always helped with house chores. Today, Josh was cleaning the kitchen floor and it motivated me even more. I had already begun but it just helped me stay focused with him there.
I find I have to push myself mentally and once I get started, I seem to "take off". Today, I organized my whole routine in my head before getting out of bed. I accomplished most of it, just not in the order I wanted to.....
Music and the thoughts of how I will feel once done always help me too........xo
I always have zippy music on.. I like Rock and it gets me moving..x

I dont know who had hard floors, but I got a microfiber washable mop, it slides on and velcros to the base and it is awesome!! I put old school lysol in a spray bottle and dilute it (I like my home smelling like a hospital) and I spray that on the floor and wipe it up with my micro fiber mop thingy, takes me 5 minutes to mop. LOVE IT!!
friend of mine was a house cleaner for a living, she turned me on to it. its so nice
Single guy, living alone? My home makes a dumpster look pristine. It's so bad that even the cockroaches have packed up and moved out. The bright side.....?
I don't have a cockroach problem anymore.
Then, I soak the dishes.
Get dirty laundry into the hamper-wash hands.
Then, I wash a first load of dishes and then soak a second load of dishes.
Then, I'd wipe down the counters.
Then, I sweep.
Then, I clean the bed rooms by first putting everyting in categories: shoes, papers, objects, books and then I make the beds and organize the room. I don't do all of this at once-I can do this over a couple of days if I need to. The main thing that I do is put things in piles first and get the beds made first and THEN go back and organize if I feel better.
Slog cleaner into the shower and b-room. Mop other rooms and then clean the shower, etc.

If you need to take a break, take a break. Eat when you need to eat. Keeping the blood sugar up is very imporant.
Keeping trash out, dirty laundry in hampers, counters washed, dishes soaking or clean is more important than everythign being perfectly in its place. Basic sanitation comes first, not perfection.
Sanitation, not perfection.

If this has to be divided into a couple of days, so be it.
