yeah that's what I thought.....one thing I don't know how to do is spread the word....maybe I should go to physical and emotional abuse to advertize.....

I spent the first 23 years of my life in a big city in a small country a continent away. This magical place is a place where women get on buses _expecting_ to get molested. In high school, I remember trading strategies with my classmates on how to stop the guy once he goes for it. I remember being touched, rubbed against, leaned on etc. and all before I graduated high school. I wasn't even such a hot-looking chick, average at best. Grown up women (including my mom) would get felt up on the city bus regularly. It is nothing to call the news for. It happens to a given woman weekly. By the same token, it's nothing to go to the therapist for. It's just life.

Yes, of course it rubbed of on me. Yes, yes, there was shame and such. But once I figured out just how often it happens (and consequently that it's not my fault), I was much less scarred by it. In this case, there is truly a strength in numbers. All the women, basically, in my city were united in that experience, and by that fact the experience was stripped of its power.

DS doesn't have a group for this, and I was molested, and I thought there should be a group where people can go and talk about it. You might not be afraid of it, but that doesn't mean others aren't and that doesn't mean that others weren't the black sheep of the family because of it. I was the black sheep for turning in my father for years until the family found out I was bipolar.....now my family actually pays attention to me.

I was molested too, but the other group is probably going to remain being the 'main' sexual abuse forum.

Oh yeah I am a member of that group.....maybe I should advertize in there about my group.....people might join.....this group is for anyone......there's also more than one bipolar group why can't there be more than one abuse support group....
