"in love" is the feeling; "love" is the action. Ideally, everyone should be "in love" and then develop "love".

It's like love is the straight, strong rope that spans time, and "in love" is the string that swings back and forth, up and down.

Sometimes we are "in love" with our spouse, sometimes not. But we should have Love to get us through those "not" times. :)

But I think "In love" is really just the desire. Not that that's bad.. I used to always say "when the fires of love are but an ember, all you have to do is blow on them."

Oh I understand. It's the ultimate attraction to someone. That "This is a perfect being" attraction. But it still doesn't have anything to do with actual love. The problem is the word has been so misused for so long that no one can figure out what it is anymore.

Love is nothing more than chemical and electrical signals in the brain. In an age of science it is remarkable that people believe in the myth of love. People should see what it truly is and move on with their lives.

Emotions are the same thing, just chemical and electrical signals in the brain. If you want to feel a certain emotion just take the right drug.

I can't wait for the day when we make a chip that can be placed in the brain that will regulate the electrical and chemical signals.

I know it is but the reality is there is no pill for emotions. There's only pills that suppress or enhance emotion, which is what so many people seem to want to do. But emotions are still created by life situations.

There are drugs that can create emotions. Chocolate can release endophines causing happyness. Wellbutrin can cause anger. Dextromethorphan can cause depression feelings.

Scientists are looking at specific pathways of emotions and trying to create drugs that will change them. This will open up a whole new generation of psychiatric medications.

They already have a drug that stops uncontrolled crying and laughing. They have also removed a fear responce in rats. It is only a matter of time.
