Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Except I just have fun smoking weed anyway, in addition to the relaxing calming humor inspiring effects.
If your pdoc trusts you enough to tell you that, that is exactly what they mean....but if you are making mistakes you don't normally make, and other unusual things, you are at least approaching a danger zone.
The reason it is so dangerous, is because both alcohol and your meds work on your central nervous system....which regulates things like breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate. If you go over your limit, you could fall asleep and never wake up again.....and it's impossible to say just where that limit is for each individual.
And of course, there's the added factor that, the more you drink, the more your judgement is affected, so the more likely you are to drink too much. If I ever drink any more, never more than one, and over a period of at least a h alf hour, and not very often -- as in, less than every two months. I'd rather be safe than sorry...then, it's too late.
