Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
As far as family goes, thats a whole other story.
It's not you- it's them & societal stigma..people find it much more easy to understand, say, a person with alzheimers or a brain tumour behaving strangely or out of character & are more compassionate & understanding, in general than when a person is suffering a bout of mental illness.
Perhaps Life & Experience will eventually teach them some, y'know? x
So, your friends see you as one way, and this is the person they like. Not the other person. The question is, which one is you:?? lol
I have a hypomanic side, which is confident, happy, forgiving, capable, accomplished.etc
and latlely my depressed attributes which are supspicious, sad, tired, confused, etc.
I beleive the hypomanic side are my true attributes. of course.
Yeah, I've already decided who my friends are and have made the changes to the group of friends I belong to. Those that don't understand me can go fuck themselves. Let them think what they want and hate me for something I'm not. It's fine. But in the end I know I'm loved and well liked, popular or not popular in my scene.
