MHA Drug Questions

I am currently taking 25 mg of Lamictal and will be taking Vistaril soon.....Are there any drug interactions and also Can you tell me anything about Vistaril before I take it? Any info on it a website link....anything??

i found like on my meds if I went into google, just type in the name of the drug and it will link you to med sites. Hope that helps.

Okay, so the drug interaction site I use lists this on this link -- just remember it has to list ever interaction that ever occured that remotely may have been related to the meds.

MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. MANAGEMENT: During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be made aware of the possibility of additive CNS effects (e.g., drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion) and counseled to avoid activities requiring mental alertness until they know how these agents affect them. Patients should also be advised to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.


This is what it said--figured it out.....is this interaction bad....it says moderate.....what does that mean??

Not a significant issue, but check with the pharmacist if you're concerned.

I called them they told me not to worry--but I have MVP and I am not really supposed to have benadril anyway.....

Then go back to the prescribing doc before taking it to tell him/her and see what they say.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
