Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
And the sex stuff reeeeally worries me :(
This is not to say you have bipolar... cocaine is also classic for causing mania in people who are not normally mentally ill. I don't know about the diagnostic criteria over there in GB... but here in the US the manual states that you must have symptoms of mania WITHOUT drug use to really know if it bipolar or not. You gotta figure out which came first, the chicken or the egg... the drugs or the mania (and risky behaviour). Did the drugs cause the risky behaviour or the risky behaviour caused the drug taking...
My suggestion would be to visit a clinic where you can remain anonymous to get some help with all of it. There are many "dual-diagnosis" clinics who treat both drug abuse and possible mental illness. Whether you have a mental illness or not, they offer excellent therapy to help you get to the bottom of the root of the behaviour and work through the emotions there.
Try not to diagnose yourself or look ahead into possible outcomes.... see the professionals and let them help you. You might be surprised at how beautiful life can be with a little help. Also, there are options for students who might have troubles to get medical help, then finish studies when they are doing better without being marked down for it.
Best of luck and (((hugs)))
i think you could be manic. that antidepressant alone w/o and antipsychotic could be making things so much worse!
can you get a doctor with a brain to see what is going on.
you got some classically manic stuff happenin.
i'm worried!
i think you need an anti-psychotic.
You may be able to take your exams at a later time if you have a medical reason for missing them, and psychiatric emergencies count. Can you talk to your dean?
if you simply can't stop doing this stuff you really got ta get help, i'm worried.
x please!
the drugs are a result i think of my risky behaviour.
ive done this stuff before.
i just taken it a step further and a step more serious.
its not good i know i need to stop everything and get help but i simply cant skip the exams i've entered and payed for them i've got a resit to take and i've resat exams in the past for mental health problems i.e a destructive depression :/ x

Types of bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder is divided into two main subtypes:
* Bipolar I disorder. You've had at least one manic episode, with or without previous episodes of depression.
* Bipolar II disorder. You've had at least one episode of depression and at least one hypomanic episode. A hypomanic episode is similar to a manic episode but much briefer, lasting only a few days, and not as severe. With hypomania, you may have an elevated mood, irritability and some changes in your functioning, but generally you can carry on with your normal daily routine and functioning, and you don't require hospitalization. In bipolar II disorder, the periods of depression are typically much longer than the periods of hypomania.
* Cyclothymia. Cyclothymia is a mild form of bipolar disorder. Cyclothymia includes mood swings but the highs and lows are not as severe as those of full-blown bipolar disorder.
Other bipolar disorder symptoms
In addition, some people with bipolar disorder have rapid cycling bipolar disorder. This is the occurrence of four or more mood swings within 12 months. These moods shifts can occur rapidly, sometimes within just hours. In mixed state bipolar disorder, symptoms of both mania and depression occur at the same time.
Severe episodes of either mania or depression may result in psychosis, or a detachment from reality. Symptoms of psychosis may include hearing or seeing things that aren't there (hallucinations) and false but strongly held beliefs (delusions).
This is not ment to be a diagnostic tool. However if you feel you have some of these symptons bring up the subject with your physicain.
You deff seem to be following in the path of mania .
Youthful behavior is one thing, it's the over the top behaviors you are listing that is the tell tale sign of mania
And NOTE..when we are manic , we seldom see it in ourselves, it takes friends ( like on DS) to point it out to you
take care
