Manic and Angry?

Can mania present itself in the form of extreme anger? I always thought it was the opposite, happiness and thinking you're invincible and having delusions that you've done things you may have not, etc. My dad tends to get very very abusive and angry almost beyond control. Does this happen to anyone?

For many people mania comes in the form of anger....

oh yes it can - it has the same energy of conventional mania but in the other direction - mixed state can have alot of anger too.

Yes, I've had episodes where I was hypomanic and EXTREMELY angry at everyone and everything. It's so hard to control,,

I encourage you to visit the Family and Friends of Bipolar board instead of posting this here. This group is for people who actually have bipolar. It's our safe place. Not healthy for us when you start putting us under a microscope. Posts like this trigger me and are upsetting.

    Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines.  I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees.  What does Thursday look like for you?

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
