As I love to slip into a freshly made bed....I make my bed everytime , even if I take several short naps a day, I'll make my bed between each rest.... silly ...I know
:)
My bed was oft times made as an example of how it's done correctly...still I like breathe at night and while others would wiggle themselves into their beds at night...trying to not to undo their perfect hospital corners...I would toss my bed apart, throw the blankets on the floor and just use a sheet for a blanket.
It's no wonder I got so good at making my bed so tight the corporal could literally bounce a quarter off of it. Still, once through boot camp and stationed to this beautiful Island in Lotus Land North I was given an honourable discharge, as a non conformist.
I am glad that making your bed in the morning works for you, Amuseme, just thought I'd put another perspective to military life and bed making. I could go into shoe and combat boot shining, peeling potatoes or shining garbage cans with Brasso and steel wool till 4 in the A frik'n M...but that's just more of my non conformist activity rewards.
Waking up gives me a sense of accomplishment and I rarely spend more than a minute awake in my bed wondering if it's going to be a great day or a disaster. I'm still an up 'n at'm kinda guy...even if I've got nothing important to do.
Sleep tight. };-)>
I never made my kids make their beds after they were teens. If they wanted their rooms to be nice they would do it. They did not want their friends to see a messy room.
Two of my sons are now in the army, My youngest sleeps on his sleeping bag on an empty bunk so his bed stays perfect. He just has to put his pillow back & stuff the sleeping bag. The perfect system, he tells me. :-)
I'll try to be better about it, though. Starting off the day with a sense of accomplishment, even if I am getting up at 4pm like I did today. :P
