Guess it depends on the amount. But if many Millions....

Buy a ranch... at least 100 acres. Buy lots of animals..... The house could be small....

Buy lots of kids bikes and drive down an impoverished neighborhood, and hand them out to kids.
Go to a highschool and pay for the prom dresses and Tux's the kids can't afford.

Not buy a house.... But pay a large down payment for people that try so hard but never seem to be able to get a house for themselves. Many people if I could.

Help start up an animal park.... Where trees and such help feed the birds and other wild life being encroached by the town.

Buy a truck load of toys and take them to a kids hospital to see the kids smile.

Throw a huge party for the elderly that are stuck in hospitals and old folks homes.

Hand out gift cards to the homeless for restaurant food. And a couple nights free in a decent motel.

Many more things I've thought of over the years....

So many people that need small things in their lives and just wanting to know someone cares.......

Wow! Your response humbles me. It made me cry, actually. Just to think that there are actually good people out there in the world that wish good things and good fortune on others. That is something that is foreign to me personally. Your response gave me some momentary hope. Thank you for that.

Hmmm I’d buy a house near my parents. Pay for them to Reno their current home. I’d pay off my siblings debts and allow them to go to college or trade school. Everyone gets new cars. I’d start fostering animals. Hmm. Life almost seems pointless if you could do whatever you want. I’d probably kill myself under the pressure

I feel the same dam* way, Nemo I finally ditched my old PCP and started seeing one right at a hospital campus instead of the clinic in my neighborhood. I took myself gradually off of all of my meds because I was on them so long I was feeling crappy anyway from them, it turns out. so I am starting over... seeing a naturopath first before going on meds again. Not going to unless I have to. I didn't even know Medicaid would cover a naturopath. Times are changing again, I think.

Is that true? Medicaid covers naturopaths? That might be the best thing I've heard in AGES.

If I won the lottery I'd do a lot of what Seamus said...I've been so poor and gone without for so much of my life, especially compared to the rest of my family who won't help me...I'm PISSED about prosperity. I would do all I can to help others less fortunate.

They didn't used to. I know they started covering chiropractors a while back. Now that my PCP is inside a hospital campus, I have much closer proximity to everything now. Further away but now that my health care needs are getting more complex it is worth it. I'm even looking into moving closer to that area.

Trying to get on disability I don't know if they would even recognize naturopath methods as viable treatments under my state's qualifying terms. I was told by my lawyer to get off of all social media because time spent on the Internet doing anything relates to an ability to work. I am assuming that this venue is safe because I don't use my real name. I hope that is the case! Trying to obtain state assistance has been a real game changer for me. I have to take everything into consideration.

I got my disability before I got active online besides here. I am pretty sure you're safe, besides this is support, not hey, how are ya doin? Like you're not supposed to have a social life if you are disabled...I have a friend who was turned down for over 10 years and his accomplishment of restoring his truck is one reason why, as he showed it on either Facebook or Geocities, I don't remember which. But I don't think they should have as much leverage as they do by looking at your profile because he did that over a very long period of time and got lots of help with it...which in and of itself shows NOTHING about his ability to do that for a living. I spend a lot of time on Facebook because that is my only social connection. I spend my days extremely exhausted and in constant significant pain. I need something to do while I am inactive physically. It hurts so much to cook I eat a lot of food from the Urban gleaners...food half way from the store shelves to the garbage bin. It also hurts to clean up after it all, too. Yet I guess I don't need assistance because I can still do it. Which makes me really pissed which keeps me moving regardless. So, tell me who is the crazy one???

One thing I learned along the way is that you could try going to a Vocational Rehabilitation office.... they work hand in hand with SSA and if they deem you as being unable to work, pretty much so will SSA. It might be a bit of a risk though if they think for some reason you should be able to work and you really can't. My disabilities are not readily identifiable, so I chose not to go that route.

I would definitely go to top notch pdocs and therapists, for starters. Then I would do the typical thing. Never work again, hubby never work again, buy houses and cars for our families, spoil our kids. Live the dream. Stable and sane enough to enjoy it, hopefully.

If I hit the lottery? Hmm. Well I would put much of the money away in a Roth IRA or retirement fund. Then the rest of it keep in the bank.

After that I would give some to my family and close friends. Then if I wanted to be a benefactor, since I like photography. I would start a non-for profit that would be an exchange for used photography equipment so that people who are not that well off can get the used or new photography equipment for free.

Say for example, there is an aspiring photographer in the US or anywhere....but has no funds for photography equipment...they could write to the non-for profit and request equipment for their project. Maybe they want to document life where they live etc?

Dunno, that is one thing I would do if I hit the lotto. Also I would not buy a large mansion, I would instead travel.
