Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm in high school & im struggling with my bipolar. It runs in my dads side of the family but my dad just got out of prison and i don't connect with him at all. Neither of my parents really help when it comes to feeling better about it. None of my friends now understand anyways. I just want a friend close to my age who understands.

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. Where ever you live, search in bipolar support groups. There are a couple where I live....free and usually run by people with bp. You didn't mention if you had bp1 or bp2....bp1 is psychosis/manic...bp2 is mainly depression. If it's bp2 look up groups for depression.
Unfortunately teen room is not active...so I think you could just write questions and express what you are feeling and thinking in this bp room....you'll get more responses here...in any case I hope you are getting some type of supportive counseling.
There are some teens on the Depression board as well......xo
I suggest that you try to find a few bipolar people to talk with and be heard by. Although in my opinion, there is a huge difference between people with bipolar who actively seek their wellness, and those who do not. I suggest finding the former, they can help you if wellness is your goal.
