Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I still get them, not as frequently, and I was told I will have them for ever, but with come Cognative Behaverial therapy, and "Mindfullness" I am able to control the thoughts a bit better.
I dont know what else to suggest but seeing a psychologist in hospital was a big help, perhaps ask your pdoc about "Cognative Behaverial therapy, and Mindfullness"
The fact that you dont want to act on the thoughts is a posative, but invasive thoughts are a pain in the arse (I know there is a joke in that) I am also on Serroquel (i think that is how it is spellet) this is good at muting those thoughts and giving your head a chance to have a break.
I hope what I said is of some help and even better makes sense. :)
I wasn't given that when I was in your headspace, I made a 100% serious suicide attempt and came as close to death as is possible without dying. 5 day coma, many medical interventions to save my life etc. Irreprabale harm to myself and to others - forever. I trult wouldn't want that to happen to you.
Please either call an ambulance now, go to the ER or call your psychiatrist if they are available immediately to speak to you and take action. The psychiatrists won't always step up to the plate and do what needs to be done - so you MUST do it if they won't help you.
Please look after yourself and then come back here when you can and tell us how you are. You're not alone in this, there are many people on this site who have been where you are at.
I 100% agree with WendyML's brutally honest reply.
