Let the rockets fly !!!!

So over the last few months I took up an old hobby from my younger days. I figured I would put together model rockets. They can be anything from simple ones only requiring a few minutes to assemble. To more complicated ones that require more time and attention. Anyway I around 10 of these things finished and ready for launching. That's the fun part. You can actually launch and recover them. So I texted my son yesterday telling him how many are ready. He has ones that he's put together too. So this Saturday we're getting together and having a launch fest. Of course my 3 year old grandson will be the flight director. No doubt he'll push the launch button after countdown. Lol

Prior to NASA's founding in 1958, rockets were all the hobby rage. A Sci Fi alternate history my mega nerd friends and I enjoy playing with is what would have happened if NASA (we pronounce it Nay Say) had never been founded. My personal favorite theory is that without all the intimidating rules, regulations and meddlesome laws sponsored by NASA, the hobby passion of the 50's would have continued raging until Boy and Girl Scout troops were holding Luna Cup Derbies instead of soap box derbies.

Enjoy, Drake. May you and your son lead us back to that pioneer spirit of hobby rocketry. May your grandchildren all be winners of their respective Luna Cup Derbies. Lead them with strong hands. Rocket science isn't as complicated as NASA has lead us to believe.

That's cool..... Adult toys are great!!!... I used to have a 'grown up' dollhouse.... It was a really fun thing to decorate and a lot of them are built from scratch

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
