I have some things going on the last few days. I have small red and purple spots on my stomac and my hands are peeling, also my hands are boated and very sensitive to the touch, I also have red blotches statrting at the tip of my fingers and are very sore. I am very tired, but this could be due to my sleep med? Anyone familiar with the rash from Lamictal? Please fill me in. I don't want to go to hospital for notthing. Thanks in advance.

PACKAGE CONTENTS CLEARLY STATE "IF ANY RASH DEVELOPES STOP TAKING THE LAMICTAL AND SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION."

Though some of the rashes are nothing serious they can be what is known as "Stephen Johnson Syndrome" and it can be DEADLY

Don't take the risk see an ER asap, or get an appt tomorrow with your doc

Lamictal rash is fatal in other words will kill you .GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM

I have had 2 separate rashes on lamictal.... one on my knee and another on my neck. Both went away within 24 hours. As your hands are peeling, bloated and sensitive .... I think a trip to the ER is really a good idea.. its better to err on the side of caution and make sure you are ok

I am on Lamectal also and have not had this side effect. Any other drugs you are on that may have this effect?

I also take Lithium, Seroquel, Trazadone and Clonazepam. I checked for side effects but no match. Lamictal is the only one with any rash symptoms. Thanks for all the input everyone.

I would hope by now you went to your doctor. I will be starting Lamictal today and the one and major reaction I am to watch for is a rash. The rash usually occurs during the first eight weeks. So please stop the meds and go see a dr.

Just an update. I kept a good eye on the rash over the weekend and on sunday I went to church and got prayer, at this time the rash was still only on my arms, notting changed on sunday night but when I woke up and checked my arms on monday the rash was gone!
