First off I want to say that I'm not feeling depressed, I just have a complete lack of motivation to do the things I enjoyed doing.
A couple examples ie; I use to like doing Paracord bracelets and wanted to expand into other things like paracord belts and dog collars, even bought an expensive Jig to help make doing this easier.
Another example is that I have always wanted to play the Violin, Deb even bought me a very nice violin and some study books and I haven't been able to sit my ass down and try to learn.
Ever since being so sick through my Hep C treatments, I've lost all motivation to do anything. I can't blame this on my treatment, I finished that almost a year ago.
Has anyone else fallen into this kind of funk without being depressed? And what have you done to get motivated again?

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

One of the side effects of Depakote { my main mood stabilizer } is lethargy.
I used to be a BUSY BUSY person, and this lethargy and lack of motivation is dreadful !
To help myself get going, I find if I shower and make myself presentable , that makes it easier to go to the next level...do the dishes, do laundry, make my bed.
I have come to realize I will never have the energy I once had { age is a factor also } , but it's the little things
What helped me was committing to ten minutes no more!
When I finished ten minutes I could quit if I wanted.....a lot of times I didn't want to....
Sometimes it's just too big and too much! Break it down into a small chunk!
Good luck its a tough one!
My list also includes things like reading for fun or hobbies & interests & not just chores & housework. If I do one chore in the AM, I will pick something "fun" to do at night.
I also like the idea of setting a time limit.
I think the only way to get out of it is to really push yourself outside your comfort zone ... Perhaps start will small steps W.... Big hug for you sweetie...x
See what I mean????
So now...10-15 minutes MAX!!
Thanks for the totally excellent idea!!!!
