Kentucky Child support....

I posted this in child support and custody but no one is helping me. I figured you guys might be able to help me and or provide me with links to where I can go and read. Thanks in advance.....

I need info on kentucky laws.....MY daughter's father lives in kentucky and is drawing unemployment compensation. In my case it says that he doesn't have to pay me any of his compensation claims.....I looked up info on my case today and found out. If he's getting any type of income shouldn't he be entitled to pay me what he owes? Doesn't the courts believe he is the father.....they even had the nerve to ask me for the paternity test results. He's a dead beat dad.....doesn't want to be involved in child's life and doesn't feel he should have to pay if he chooses not to be involved. I feel if he helped rape me then he should pay me to take care of her.....I chose not to opt for an abortion which my rights I was entitled to because I was a rape victim. I LOVE my daughter with all of my heart. She is what keeps me fighting my bipolar illness......HELP!

You can probably google Kentucky law Princess....honestly, if my child was a child of rape, I would not want the father to have anything to do with her. If he is willing, I would have him sign off rights and be done with it. No money in the whole world is worth the agony and grief of knowing my child might have to visit someone who is a rapist. Usually, if they pay support, they have the right to see the child. Does he see her at all?

I also wanted to say how much I admire you for keeping her and loving her as much as you obviously do Princess. It shows very very strong character on your part. It isnt something the average woman could do. Hugs

I would think that he would have to pay with any income he is geitting whether it is unemployment or not. when my ex didnt even have a job they told him he still had to come up with the money or go to jail and a couple of times he did go to jail once the judge sent him to jail because he had new shoes on but didnt pay his child support.

No he choose not to have any involvement at all....He doesn't send gifts or pictures and has nothing to do with her. He chooses to dis involve himself.

I guess I would just be afraid that if he starts paying, he will decide he wants to see her, what then? Are you willing? Maybe, just have him sign off and leave him to his own guilt.

I agree with crazed, call the child support office. In Indiana, they hunt ppl down like dogs for not paying, :::smile::: at least there is some justice.

you said that her father lives in KY, Do you live there as well? I can tell you this, When my youngest sister left her baby's father, she had custody, and he had to pay child support. She lived in Colorado, and he lived in Arizona. All of the custody and child support went through the courts in Colorado, and was forwarded to Arizona because the primary parent and the child live in Colorado.

I would suggest looking into the child support laws where you live. They should be able to get things started.

a friend of mine here in ky. said that they should be able to collect support from his unemployment wages. you really should call and talk to the worker in charge and find out what is going on.

I called the child support office where I live. They are supposed to call me back. They will talk to them and find out why he's not paying support.....I suspect that he's telling them that he's not the father when he is.....that's what I believe is happening.....Very unfortunate for me though......

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
