Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

What a horrible example of someone with bipolar - his incredible arrogance about him being the greatest musician alive, the whole "slavery is a choice" thing.
Awful.
This really won't help the cause of the mentally ill.
Thank God we have Stephen Fry as the most famous example in the UK.

I think people with bipolar disorder can speak out about their bipolar disorder if they want, however they want. We all have personal symptoms that range from person to person and different experiences and feelings about it, why not express it (or conceal it) however you see fit?
Any successful, well known, admirable person trying to end the stigma by coming out as having a mental illness is a triumph but I fear Kanye may hurt our reputations though because I personally see him as an egotistical jackass, who also happens to be bipolar. But maybe his idiotic rants and ridiculous actions can show people that bipolar is a very serious illness not just "mood swings"? Sometimes I feel like people dont respect the weight of bipolar and what its capable of.
I guess theres many ways to look at it and people will think what they want.
""Think about people who have mental issues that are not Kanye West...think about somebody that does exactly what I did at TMZ but they just do it at work.
"Then Tuesday morning they come back and they lost their job."
Yes. That's the difference between being an ordinary Joe with Bipolar and someone famous or an "artist".
