old for a laptop that was only a couple years old. My dad found a netbook with a cam and traded my daughter;s laptop for it. Now I got her old laptop. I'm going to have to learn to keep drinks away from it. I've ruined three keyboards because of having drinks near my pc. My dad gave me this laptop as my christmas present instead of keeping it himself.

grab the vlc media player, will play anything you throw at it. Great for watching movies in bed.

Just keep drinks away from it is the main thing and treat them with care, they are not as hardy as Desktops

Also buy a can of compressed air and blow out the fans on the bottom of dust. Never the computer unattended when plugged in with the battery inserted.

Batteries tend to break often and need to be replaced.

OR they just plain die after a few years. I am getting a new Battery for my MacBook soon because they battery just doesn't hold a charge anymore

LOL Rachy - I am wickjed hard on computers be it laptop or desk tops. . . . My choice for best laptop (willing to withstand the dogs and myelf) is the Vaio by Sony with HP being 2nd . #1 in my book for desk tops hands down is either Dell or if you can splurge and are good at it - one you build yourself. I truthfully tho am harder on desktops but admit to not being nice to either of them

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
