an exam measures nothing but how to sit an exam. you may have just been having a bad day. don't be too hard on yourself. you can always do it again. think of all the things you do well and focus on those for now. you are doing the best you can and take credit for that. hope this helps. hugs to you. you're wonderful.

How can you seriously consider the lie of suicide? It's always an option but not the best option by far. I'm sorry for your disappointments, but everyone has some. There are always solutions besides suicide, which doesn't really belong in the solutions column. When I couldn't cry it was caused by medication.

I agree with Richard. I am back in school at 47 and the best thing I ever learned in school is that it is just knowledge that you gain that counts not scores GPA's and exam results. Even if we never finish we can still say we learned. That is worth more than anything because it makes us better as people. Smile don't stress because you still know more today than yesterday.

Suicide by dropping a stack of textbooks on your head is not an option and VERY expensive =)

Do you get any special accomodations for your disability? When I was in grad school, I went to see the dean of students and I was able to get extra time on exams and papers. Maybe you could look into that.

In the grand scheme of things, a class to take over is certainly a pain in the butt, but not a reason to think about suicide... I know you are probably feeling pretty bad about yourself, but how about you focus on the classes you did pass? *hugs* I know it's hard.

If you get sick a lot while in college, it is pretty logical that you will not be able to get good grades. Sickness and bipolar suck rotten eggs...full of sorrow and tragedy. I lived through it myself, sick, struggling, disappointing, failing, expelled, other indignities and failures.

You really do have my sympathy for the hell you're in. Just don't give up. Keep on going girl. xo

Have you thought about online classes? Does your college offer them? That's something that's easier to do, especially if you're getting sick. Halter has a good suggestion if you've not done it already. Talking to the dean about the bipolar and getting a little in the way of accommodations.

As to failing the class...don't worry about it! It happens. Bipolar sucks. Don't let it win! Don't let it dictate to you what your worth is. Don't let an exam do it, either! If you've taken the class two semesters in a row, take a semester off from it...it may help.

Online classes are a great way to go if you are getting sick a lot. That is how I go to school right now. Don't worry over one class or grades. I agree with others, it is more about the knowledge you have gained and it is no big deal to have to take a class over. Try to think about the classes you passed and be happy about those. Suicide is a bad answer and in the end, it is the end and you can't take it back. Please hang in there and don't give up. You are awesome just for trying school while dealing with bipolar disorder. You should be proud of yourself for all of the effort you have given.
