It's like trying to explain colors to a blind person....they understand the concept, but not the reality
I personally avoid talking about it with people who haven't experienced it their selves.

I had demons flying up my nose ..and had to use a fry pan to get them out of my head .

I guess I have to be grateful, I haven't had them in several years .
Love your mom for trying and keep trying with her, but instead of blaming her for human limitations, come vent here. We don't understand it, either, but we are your equals in befudlement. Together, at least we know we are not alone.
and arfie i didnt blame her. i didnt get angry. i did exactly what i knew to do and that was vent here (Y)
She is so eloquent !
Well, I guess just tell your mom that you appreciate her support and patience and that its okay if she can't quite fathom what you mean, just ask her to respect what you are going through and that you are making an effort to help yourself in this case.
I don't care who it is-sane or not, EVERYONE practically between ages 17-23 or so.
You are young and your emitions are going to run strongly and you will feel strongly.
Folks above the age of 25 ish need to understand that.
i am bp1. you can get to the schizophrenic place without being schizophrenic, trust me.
i think you're tired and worried and feeling pressured by wanting to find your place.
i'm glad you didn't get mad at mum and that you are keeping perspective. shows how you can make it through, even tough stuff.
you will be alright if you keep seeking the truth like you are doing now and remain unemotional. this is great, you ARE smart. you will make it through this.
i know how it feels to try to explain such things to someone who hasn't experienced it themselves. it's really tricky.
good for you for being on track with getting to the doctor, this will save you in the long run- i am almost so clear that if you just get this under control now, which is entirely doable, you can get back to studying and will have saved lots of time of playing the ' nothing's wrong ' game. you will regain your sanity and you are quite lucid despite all that's up at the minute.
