Finally, got a chance to use that word. Been waiting for at least 29 years.

They don't ask if you are crazy, you could volunteer the info if you like.lol I was on jury duty also before diagnosed all they asked was if I knew either of the lawyers or the defendant. Some people did talk to the judge asking to be let off for some reason or another, some were allowed and others not but nobody used the bp card.haha

HMM Wonder if anyone in jail who found out there was a bper on jury duty could ask for a re trial? Hey they are gettin off for murder with this illness it could be used as a defense.

e I would just tell them all people charged with a crime are guilty. that would get me off.

The last time I got off was because I was nursing and the baby did not know how to use a bottle THAK GOD and the pediatrician wrote the letter!!!!

Next Time I get called I will serve. I think that Criminals need to be punished I am sick of people getting off when they are guilty. My favorite are DUI's. this chick next ddor neighbor of mine confessed to me that she was drunk but I can not testify to what she said It is her word vs mine kinda thing. How the hell do you get a conviction if no one can testify to what you said!!!

God I hate criminals.

I'm not sure whether I have the judgment to deal with that at the moment. i'd hate to be in that position right now..

Without the Doc's letter at least you can entertain the rest of the jurors :)

I was talking more in the jury pool before you are on a trial but I can think of 50 or 60 ways to really mess with the judge, accused, and the other jurors without thinking hard. :) (evil grin)

I was selected for jury duty, years ago. I got 7 bucks, a day, for attending! 7 bucks! It sucked!

I would love to be on jury duty! I'm schizo-affective so I think I'm too crazy.

I think it depends on the person, they really want people and will put up with most anything.

This last year I finally got wise and put my mental illness as a reason NOT to go! It was accepted of course, but I am sure that sooner or later I will need a doctors note.

I got out of jury duty by politely reminding them that I had been declared incompetant in 2001.
