Can anyone relate to this...

I just woke up (its 9:00am)and I felt this strange feeling come over me. I 'm feeling something dark, that something bad will happen today. I'm panicking for no reason. Nothing bad COULD happen. Yet my heart is racing. Where is my xanax when I need it? Have any of you gone through this and what did you do?

I've had that feeling a few times, that feeling of impending doom. I used to think I was being psychic and knew something awful was about to happen? But nothing ever did, thank the Lord!

One time my wife had a feeling and ran out of the house saying that a plane was going to crash into us. I was lucky in that I happened to be half way sane that day.

As usual, nothing happened.

I get the impending doom feeling A LOT. It's funny you call it that. So do I. Like a major earthquake is going to happen or lately like I will be in a car wreck. It sucks. I can't reason whether it is a psychic premonition or just crazy paranoia.

I searched and searched for the best words to fit the feeling and AA had the best words. Now if you know AA's history and the old-timers stories you know that only the twelve steps are origional to AA. Most of their sayings and quotes are from either Shakespear or other famous books.

So I wouldn't doubt that "Impending Doom" came from an earlier source than AA. But that is where I stole it from.

I don't have an origional bone in my body.
