I can hear the anxiety in your post and it is understandable. Sorry to hear about your babies.

As others have said, ER processing can take a long time. The psych ward is extremely hard, sometimes impossible, to access. Here anyone we (the patient) want to speak to must have a code. The code is not given until after a consult with the psychiatrist. Usually, they ask that no contact is made for 72 hours and only then if the patient is able/willing to give out the code.

It's a complicated process but he is getting the care he needs. I hope you are taking care of yourself, too.

Oh Deedee I'm so sorry.... Unless he puts you down as someone that the psych ward can talk to about him they won't even admit that he's there... You have to be down as someone that the staff can discuss him with...
If he's in the hospital he's being cared for... Huge hug for you sweetie...xo

No time is the right time until it IS the right time Dee. All you can do right now is call on a daily basis and let them know that you are consistently trying to reach him. When they deem him ready they will mention you to him and he'll in all likelihood give the go ahead to put you on his list of contacts.

In the meantime continue to enjoy your vacation as best you can. He obviously occupies a special place in your thoughts...and heart...hold him there with the knowing he is in the hands of professionals. I'm sure he might not want to ruin your fun while he's going through this so it's not likely he's purposely avoiding you...or purposely doing anything at all at this time.

You are both in my thoughts and prayers, I feel sick in the stomach a little in empathy too and I am sorry for you; disappointed in the hospital, frustrated you haven't been called, and angry and dissatisfied at the current state of affairs.
