You may recall I write that my sister and he husband were in an affair with my brothers wife. It's been almost a year. Mom last week asked me to invite my sisters boys to a birthday at my house for my brothers daughter. I was on my way to pick up the boys when my mom called and told me to turn around. Apparently my brother didn't know my nephews were coming and he was livid. I came home to a...

I'm told around here that when you are admitted to the psych ward, that Nobody gets to talk to you for the first while...do you think that could be why you're getting the runaround?
If something has gone wrong he will most likely be in contact with you when he is next able. If nothing has gone wrong [extremely likely if he was waiting to get help] then when things settle at the hospital they will know more. Not hearing probably indicates others are busy looking after him I hope.
Much huggage
((((Big hugs))))
yeah, sure, i'll talk to you.
if he was admitted high risk, you might not hear from him for 72-hours. if he is in a really bad place, that is the safest thing for him and the safest place to be.
all you can do is try the ward again tomorrow. he might still be waiting to be processed and evaluated by the on-duty shrink.
He has no family or friends that know where he is, it's just me.
Thank you mono, hopefully you are right. Thanks for the welcome home, I'm here visiting for 4 more weeks, been here for 2 already, & it was going awesome, till this happened, well I was told today that 2 of my, well they are my babies, my ratties died, that hit me hard, but this is more important, obviously.
It's pretty hard to be patient under these circumstances....As others have said getting into the hospital can take a long time, getting to a ward can take a long time....and by the time he gets there he may be very tired and need to sleep. It's all procedure Dee and not much of it helpful to anyone outside the hospital....You will find out and in the mean time you need to take care of you...and turn this one over...Holding you in my heart Dee that good things happen!
He was around people who are in control, organized and well resourced to help him. And the most likely possibility is that those same health professionals are doing so.
I am praying for all concerned at the moment, and hope you get some relieving good news soon.
At my hospital they have a list of people you would only want to know you are in the cyc ward or be able to contact you . They may not have done that paper work yet and thus when you call and ask they are required to not say he is a patient .
My husband is in all kinds of straits and won't get any help.
I am up late surfing the net because I can't sleep. was applying for jobs today. was actually liking writing cover letters. I was getting good at it. I wrote one and talked about my horoscope. another talked about the architecture in my neighborhood. I used those subjects because they have been part of cover letters that got me interviews before.
well, just keep reminding yourself that the hard part just might be over.
