Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

There seems to be no life in that support group here on DS, so Im going to drop it here. Since many of you help me so much in this group and I almost always get a response-
This may be related to my bipolar or maybe not.
But.
Do any of you expierence furious fits of jealousy? Maybe in a manic episode?
Just going to go into a little more deets here: I am dog sitting my uncles dog right now while hes in Europe, and I bring my boyfriend over to his house with me most of the time when we have to let him out and feed him. Now, I am an AVID animal lover and would never harm one. But, when my boyfriend is giving the dog more attention than me, and just acting like the dog is like a GOD, I suddenly feel like I wanna fucking kick it across the room.
THIS IS CRAZY!! I KNOW, BELIEVE ME.
This also used to happen when we had a cat (which I gave to my bf's mom) because 1. It used to claw everything in my house and I felt it was too cruel to declaw him and 2. Because I used to get jealous that my bf would greet the cat before me when he came in from work.
I am insane and I know this is a serious thing that I should probably be in therapy for, (which I am currently searching for a new one) but do you think this is related to my bipolar? or is this me being a crazy jealous irrational bitch?
sorry for the offensive language...
thoughts?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

But i fear its not enough.
Its hard to pin point what is related to bipolar and what isnt sometimes. Agh, at least I have you guys <3 thanks
I admire those who have faith and belief and have some solid morals to live by. Because me, well, I don't really live by any.
I hope to change that one day.

SunCloud,
I agree, I would NEVER hurt an animal ever. Never have, never will. But I only get like this when my boyfriend shows an animal that I dont have a bond with affection. It is indeed a problem.
And I dont go on meds because I alwayssssssssssss go on and then off and on and off and it fucks me off more. I cant ever get a pdoc that seems like they don't know what they are doing. Ive explained my reasonings before.
Its hard for me with them, and hard for me without.
Ugh. pray for me lol
my insecurities are enough to swallow me whole. Def plan on getting back into therapy ASAP.
Meds haven't changed my personality when I do take them, you are right, but I don't feel, how do I put it, ..Sharp. Like I do when I'm just not on anything.
I have tried alarms but then when they go off I find myself forgetting anyway, it never helped me and I only stay consistent for about 2 weeks and then fuck my dosage up.
I also have never been on an ACTUAL bipolar medicine before. I always say upon every new pdco appointment "I DONT WANT TO GAIN WEIGHT"
So then I think that's why the doctors just go the other approach and prescribe me meds that are "used" for mood disorders but are beta blockers, SSRI'S, anticonvulsants etc.- that don't have the weight gain side effects.
Regardless, Im on the fence right now, and not in treatment at all.
I start my new job monday I think its smart that I fix this with myself soon.
