Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I am not new, I was a member a long time ago, like 2010. Back then my identity was compromised so I had to close my account. The person who discovered my identity threatened to reveal it to my friends and family and to coworkers at a job I had just started. I could not risk certain people finding out about my illness.
Well, that person passed away this week and took my secret to the grave with her. So I am back once again to help. I have missed this place so much, and all the friends I had.
I have contacted DS and hopefully they will be able to restore my old account, but if not here I am.
These last couple of years have been long and busy. I have done a lot of growing and made a lot of positive changes. I pushed out a lot of poisonous people and reconnected with family members I thought I would never have a relationship with. I am still seeing my therapist, and he has been my saving grace. There have been some rough times, and some times that have been just awesome.
I made a great new friend. We have a lot in common. She lost a friend to suicide at the same time as I lost my best friend. We are both BP and both on disability. She is like the sister I never had.
I am excited to report to all of you that I have finally gotten my depression under control and have been stable for the last 9 months, a personal best for me.
So I know the goal is brevity, so I will close with

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.
