To everyone who sent me notes and hugs over these past months THANK YOU.

I WON MY APPEAL HEARING FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY AND WILL NOW RECIEVE MY DISABILITY PAYMENTS MONTHLY AND A BIG FAT ARREARS CHECK.

Any of you going through it or thinking about going through it it is worth the waiting (a good lawyer really helped me).

And just my luck i'm in a low in my cycle and I have a upper like this, how much more fun it would be if i was manic ;)

That is awesome news!!! CONGRATS! Welcome to the world of some of the rest of us trying to figure out what to do every day. At least on the really bad days when you know that there is just no way you can function at a real job, you don't have to worry about finances. At least that's the way I look at it. I know I can't work every day. Maybe once in a blue moon. Who ever has an ad in the paper looking for an employee to work every blue moon?

OMG!!!! That is so wonderful! I need to talk to you desperately! I am on my third appeal too and waiting on a hearing. I have an attorney but I am so stressed!

Karen....unless you have very good history and documentation, I would get an attorney ASAP...if you have gone this far without approval, you may not get the SSI, and you may lose it all and have to start over. an attorney will cost you 25%, but you will get 75% of your backpay, rather than none.
