For YEARS this guy has been messing with me. I thought he cared at one point- so I spilled all my secrets. Then on facebook a year ago, he spilled all my secrets. He put me on blast. I block him because I am just so sick of his shit. Then I unblock him because I am paranoid he's talking shit. The worse part is that my best friend KNOWS he's like this. I tried talking to my "best friend" about this and his response was "He just likes messing with you. He's been my friend since my sophomore year in high school. That doesn't make him a bad person."
I told him. "If he messes with me, he'll prey on someone else. He's just a bully. Why are you even friends with him?"
I know that my "best friend" doesn't have any loyalty to me. He would rather party and drink anytime instead of talking to me. But I moved here a few years ago, and was bullied my senior year in high school(when I first moved) and he was my only friend besides my sister.
Am I just holding on to my best friend because he USED to be there for me?
And what about the bully? Why do I always go back to him. I like being insulted so I can insult him back.
Do I like thinking about all his harsh words? I do when I'm depressed. I listen to every negative thing that has ever been in my life.
But, it never fails...my best friend never defends me.
I just can't trust anyone but my sisters and family.
I hate being so lonely and so lost.

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...
As far as your best friend goes I would cut him some slack. He sounds like he is not a confrontational type person. Some people just don't want to get involved. This doesn't make him disloyal. It's probably just not his thing to stand up and defend you.
I think FB is a waste of time. My kids post everything about themselves and everyone they know (within reason) on FB. Why do people feel the need to share such intimate things with others? Maybe I'm just too old for this stuff.
be careful who you tell your secrets to. Make sure you know them VERY well before you share. Let the bully do what he's going to do and just ignore him. He'll eventually tire of you and move on to his next victim. Good luck.
sorry you're going through this. lonely and lost....yep, i can relate.
@lilchit2 I agree! He will go to Catholic!(i'm catholic lol) hell.
Facebook is just a way to spy on people and judge them. I'm mostly on tumblr now. There are a lot of lonely, creative people on there!
And I write of course :)
@mojopaw
I COMPLETELY agree with the best friends should always have your back! I trusted him about my pregnancy scare(It was because I was drinking...you know how we are when we drink!) and he told his sister, who I don't like, who told the bully and now he's TRYING to make everyone believe I'm a slut.
Which, no one does believe.
Thank you guys for all the replies!
Are you in therapy??.. It could be really helpful to get to the bottom of why you're accepting this and give you tools on how to change it
Big hug of comfort for you...xo
If someone triggers you really bad, I think avoiding them is a good thing.
They say you only get one or a couple "best friends" in your life - liking someone and hanging out with them, especially partying is not a BEST friend....
It is HARD not to look at his facebook page, and to get off the merry-go-round and let it be sick without you - but when you quit reading and playing - the first week or two is tough...
On the other side of getting rid of toxic people, and bad habits of counting on them - is fresh air and peace.... You can make better friends, if you not always obsessed with toxic ones ((((BIG HUG)))
Your "friends" sound, to me - Sicker than YOU : ) the bipolar one LOL
@zsa Anger is VERY addicting. I do it out of boredom. Isn't that messed up? I agree the bully BS is intolerable.
@Gina. Honestly, I don't even care anymore. My best friend calls me out the time to bitch about his day or how WONDERFUL the hotel party was.
I since then deleted my facebook. It's a trigger. Plus, I say some dumb shit when I'm manic!
Thank you guys for all the advice!
I'm hear for ya'll too. Us bipolar people need to stick together!
ROCK ON!
lol
