Elevil and Meloril were the latest drugs my dad took for BiPolar, back when gas was 25 cents a gallon and so were my moms Pall Malls.

Damn I'm getting old.

And we had a Station Wagon!

I loved my grandmother's station wagon - it had the wood side-paneling on the outside of the car. ha. ridiculous.

We had a station wagon when I was a kid and I used to love riding in the back with the fold up seats.

I remember everyone in the school getting around the school TV to watch the moon landing live.

I remember going outside in the 2nd grade to watch The Challenger go up...I lived in Florida at the time and we were able to see it from the ground.....and then it burst into flames in front of our eyes.


I cry to this day about it.

I remember when the first 747 came to Sydney. I remember when Sydney still had the green and brown double decker buses. I remember when Sydney had the old red rattlers (trains). I remember when potato scallops were six for twenty cents. I remember when $2.00 worth of chips would feed a family of four.

Cigs were 50c when I was in 7th grade. Thats when I started smoking
We werent allowed to wear pants or shorts to school..only dresses.

    I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
