I have the Lamictal rash, and been in the Lamictal hell since two days ago. I have to stop it cold turkey, and won't be able to see my pdoc till the end of the month to get a new stabilizer. Also, I have hives from hell that have not gone away, but are still there, and the Medrol they were supposed to give me for my medicine induced hives, interacts with my
seroquel and I can't take that either. I won't be able to see a pdoc or pcp till the end of the month. I am also wearing the gloom and doom glasses on. I could use prayers, hugs, and thoughts.

Have you had this rash evaluated by a doctor who can determine just how serious it is?! I'm on Lamictal and was warned about the more serious type of rash it can cause which sometimes requires hospitalization and has even resulted in death, although rarely. Are you sure that you are getting as much medical attention NOW as this rash requires!!? I also think you should head for the emergency room!! Better safe than sorry. I know one can develop just the 'usual' allergic type of rash, but what if you have the other kind?
I suppose you already know how serious this can be, but I hope you are doing all that you should to stay safe!!!
Here's a copy and paste from the Lamictal site: Although most patients who develop rash while receiving LAMICTAL have mild to moderate symptoms, some individuals may develop a serious skin reaction that requires hospitalization. Rarely, deaths have been reported. These serious skin reactions are most likely to happen within the first 8 weeks of treatment with LAMICTAL.
