I need a drug that makes me happy all the time. Simple. So many drugs on the market - how come none induce euphoria? Is extreme happiness supposed to be a bad thing? The drugs I take keep my mood stabilized and my depression at bay. But I sure don't feel anything like "happy". I just feel flat and borderline numb. I've tried other drugs that made me feel much worse so I hesitate to experiment again. I know it's a crap shoot. So do I just walk around numb and slightly depressed/ slightly irritated till I die? Shouldn't there be tons of drugs geared toward making a person happy? Why would inducing happiness not be a prime goal?

My first week of being on Trileptal, I had the known side effect of A FALSE SENSE OF WELL BEING....I woke up SINGING !
It lasted a week, then I crashed.....but for that 1 week, I remembered what it was to feel good .
I realized how much I am missing out in life by just being flat.
I think that's one of the things that leads us (myself included of course) to get off of medication. I get off so I can feel and luckily at times I feel happy on my own.

Ha!!! There's some drugs that will most likely result in temporary happiness, but since that's at the expense of being able to think coherently while you're experiencing anything approaching euphoria, they're not likely to be prescribed!!!!
Every once in a great while, I have a good day and it's when that happens that I realize just how much of a zest for life I used to have and I feel a tinge of sorrow at just how much I have lost!!
Yeah. It's pretty sad when you realize you've forgotten what it feels like to be truly happy!!!!
I always thought that if I was ever loved I would feel happy, but that has never happened and now I am willing to accept happiness in pill form. But it looks like I can't even get that. Sucks.

Until they invent a med that makes us happy without tipping us too high til we lose touch with reality.

Just think, gang!!!! Instead of complaining about weight gain, we'd be complaining because we'd be walking sticks!!!!
And we'd have to double or triple up on the sleep meds, if we wanted to get even a minimum of sleep!!!!

I also woke up singing dancingd. I wonder if singing is a side effect for Abilify too? It has been over a month and I am still singing. That will be a total bummer if my songs go away.

Any ex-druggies out there remember 'goofballs'!!!? An upper mixed with a downer?!!!! I say that they should bring them back!!!!! They should mix Dexidrine or some other amphetamine with Seroquel!!!!!! Heavier on the Seroquel!!!! Then maybe we could sleep without pigging out on food!!!!!
