Hanna you are beautiful! Don't waste your time with people who don't think so. I have gone through the same thing (only face to face) and it definitely hurts and I felt like I was ugly. But those type of people are superficial and don't deserve your time. They will find someone just as superficial as they are and live miserably ever after!

Animals are the key! lol! That unconditional love they give. I've had to stop adopting because I am bordering on hoarding! Just kidding. But I do suggest getting a pet if you are allowed to at your place. They are great therapy!

I have found a wonderful man who loves me and my animals. Just be yourself and don't waste your precious time on those type of people. Your ARE beautiful!

First off, I am someone that knows you online, and I don't think you're ugly at all!

I know you say you have no other means of making friends, but I don't think that the internet is the best way to meet people. Just my opinion. It hasn't worked out too well for me, so maybe I am biased and bitter. I'm not saying it can't work just that it has not proven to be as good as face-to-face contact for me.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll make more friends soon. I've been living in my new apartment for almost 9 months, and it took a while for me to warm up to the neighbors and them to warm up to me. So please don't fret! Keep at it and just be yourself!!!

I honestly would disregard these man-child type "men", it is so immature to lose interest in someone when you suddenly realise you don't wish to sleep with them at some point. Lets be honest - that is how the male brain works 99% of the time, which tells me their "friendship" with you was really a way of trying to butter you up before trying to get you in the sack!

I have a variety friends, however, as they are FRIENDS, I don't give a toss what they look like because they are just platonic. Where as if you are looking to get your leg over - that is when you become superficial, traditionally speaking.

Also I had a girlfriend who was quite pretty, but the guys always passed her over for me. Once she lost the glasses lots of men were interested in her.

I would try wearing your hair down and take the glasses off when you are on webcam if you can read without them. You have a very pretty face. Typically guys like long hair and don't like glasses.

I don't know if we attract people who are like us or like our parents and family. I guess that is a Feud vs Jung debate. I too cannot make friends for the life of me.

I have some light friendships made over years in AA, but when they invite me over to a party or something I can't do it. I shake like a dog shitting a peach seed.

I spent my whole under 35 years old life as a criminal would thus pushing people away or, attracting other criminals which was very short lived, to a clean and sober life which pushed any criminals addict alcoholics away from me and my family drinks now so they get pushed away from me. They just never drank like I did.

The internet is the wrong place to meet people especially men. Mostly they are just looking for sex on the net. Also why are you waiting to show them your pic, you should be showing this right off the bat. It quickly gets rid of assholes. Then you don't need to waist time with them.

If you want to meet men you are going to need to get out of the house and off the net. Go to coffee shops and books shops, pay attention to what surrounds you and strike up a conversation with some one you like. Check for wedding rings before you strike. Walk around town at get to know your neighbors.
