My husband told me I could self medicate and take extra geodon today to see if it helps. And I missed a dose of medication awhile back so there's enough meds for me to take and my medication schedule won't be off kilter because of it because there's an extra pill to take. I am going to take three geodon today instead of two and see if that helps.

I'm assuming you can't take yourself. Understandable!! Do you have family or a neighbor who could take you? Sending good thoughts your way.

Why would you go to the ER to get depression meds? Call your pdoc. Mine always calls me back and then if I need something I can either go in, he can mail it, or call it in. I just don't understand going to the ER for this kind of thing, not that you can't do it. Are you going to just start some or have you been on them and ran out? If you are just starting it is going to take a few weeks to get into your system anyways. Anti-Anxiety meds work fast though, but they don't really like to give them out due to how additive they are.

Can't you call your Pdoc first,about taking the extra Geoden?
Overdoseing on Geoden is easy to do.
And the side effects reactions are ICK.

My pdoc has never prescribed me any depression meds while I was under her care. It's always been group therapy. My husband's still paying for group therapy I had a while back as it is.....I am not currently taking any anti-depressants....the only thing I currently take is an anti-psychotic....Geodon is all I take.

I called my pdoc but all I got was the secretary's answering machine....

green tea is a good idea ... I'm a fan of really strong ass weed myself, but only when I can't get a hold of my pdoc or get to the hospital. Emergencies only. Booze is a no-go because alcohol is a depressant. Maybe try some cocoa?

Is there a bus or cab that can take you to the ER/Clinic?Crisis Center?? This seems like human torture.

well i hope you left a message, they can call you back. I'd rather see the pdoc prescribe your medications than your husband. That just doens't make sense for him to tell you what you can to as far as doubling up meds!!!!! actually it kind of pisses me off!

I just started taking abilify about a month ago for SERIOUS depression. It was so bad it felt like a brick in my chest. All I wanted to do was sleep. It zapped me out of it right away. The last few days I felt it returning.
I called my pdoc because I wanted to increase my dosage but could only do it with her permission. She called me back right away and increased the dosage.
Don't go to the ER unless you are a danger to yourself or others because they will put you in a 72 hour lockdown.

finally the pdoc called today and prescribed me some wellbutrin. I am now finally on an antidepressant and I can feel my mood somewhat lift even if it is just a little bit.
