I have a central vac. I love it and will never go back to a regular vacume cleaner ever again. Its the kind that is built into the house. I cleaned out my husbands car not to long ago and when I took the mini shop vac out to vacume it I put it back in the grarage and hooked up the house vac and vacumed out the car with that. It litterally could suck the paint off walls its great.

this vacuum post reminds me with fond memories of when my son was a toddler. he was obsessed with vacuums, and we had to go to rummage sales to buy him vacuums, becuz he loved to vacuum so much. he loved the variety of vacuums, and when we visited others at their homes, the first thing that came out of his mouth was "can i vacuum your house". lol. we once had a kirby salesman at our house,and he was the most interested of us all in the demonstration. lol. kids are such a joy.

i have a kirby i bought off the inlaws when they bought a rainbow vacuum. i love the kirby picks up everything, but i think the cord is too short. i used their rainbow when i stayed up there taking care of mil but i thought it was a pain in the buttocks carting around the canister and all.

i remember soon after i started working as a teenager i found this really cute red one. it was only about two and a half feet tall. and it barely worked and i almost never used it. but at that point in my life i didn't really know what a bill was. and spent my money on all kinds of crap.
i don't really know what happened to that one. i guess my parents threw it away.

oh, by the way, my son talked us into buying that expensive kirby vacuum, and we still have it today. lol

I have a vacume since my last apt. was wall to wall carpeting now i have wooden floors but i still have it just in case i move to another carpet apartment.

We bought an Dyson for animal hair, it has got to be the best vacuum we have ever owned. It is easier to move around, powerful as the ad says and has an extra long cord.

So when I go homeless I can use the vacuum to eat off of.

I bot a new vac when i moved into the apt. It is the hose kind and gets under all my furniture and sucks just about anything, fur, threads, dirt, cereal. It is called a miehle.

OK, get ready to start laughing at me...I had a complete breakdown over my vacuum. It was the one time that I dragged my husband with me to my tdoc, so that he could help make her understand how off the wall I'd been.
He used my Dyson as a shop vac. It was all covered with dust, inside and out. I couldn't even face it for over a week.
I sobbed, out of control, in the tdoc's office.
lol!
