You should not have to put up with this kind of treatment. I would tell Don exactly what happened, be honest and tell him you do not feel comfortable watching his daughter. Maybe you both can sit down and have a talk with her and let her know the behavior is not acceptable.

sidenote...my 9yr old neighbor who i watch often gets upset when i raise my voice at her, but yet she never stops the same behaviour that i correct over and over and over again...when i finally raise my voice she stops.
but at least she's only 9. My 36yr old fiance was the same way! LOL!

you seem to have so many problems with your step daughter...have you thought of or do you already get counseling about this issue...? maybe even joint counseling...?

for sure it was wrong of her to lie about you hitting her...and potentially dangerous to your reputation regarding guardianship of children...

but was it necessary to rip the phone out of her hands...as you put it...?

i want to support you...but in the right way...

if this child is going to be in your life, i would love to see you find a way for that to be a good thing for both of you...

and i'm no counselor...and i don't know all sides of the (no doubt complicated) overall story regarding this incident and others you report...so that's why i bring counseling up as a possibility...

anyway...much love and luck to you with this issue.

A friend of mine's daughter told my son that she could ruin his life any time she wanted my telling pp he toched her. He (then 13) would never go with 50 yards of her. He would never go with me to visit etc etc. yes you tell Don and yes you never watch her again.

Princess..... discuss this with your husband and after he meets with his daughter, the 3 of you should have a meeting... its important she know he supports you... undoubtedly before she grows up you are going to be in other situations with her and its best to nip this behavior in the bud now or never be alone with her again...

girl I feel for you. Children will play both people against each other like that. You shouldnt have to put up with it. But being since she is a girl, she is probably daddys little girl and the bond is usually strong between a father and daughter. Hope he is understanding and doesnt believe her.
