Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Good luck with that!
My man wasn't supportive at first and would constantly say they (the meds)aren't working right or whatever...and I told him, that it's wasn't his place to tell me what to take or what not to take. That's between me and my Doc. That he needed to educate himself and come to his own understanding of what BP is, what it's about, and why meds are important. That it takes time for adjustments...they are not a cure all and the illness I have is not like a cold...it won't go away.
My daughter did the same thing, and I wish to applaud you on your decision. When we take actions, we have to filter them through a.) what kind of mood we were in and b.) whether we were properly medicated. Taking this step brings you closer to making life simpler. It's where I want to be eventually ... the land of the stable brain.
