This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi all, I'm not doing well. I can handle physical pain but this emotional pain and intrusive obsessive thoughts are burdening me. A lot has been going on, I'm overwhelmed with college, I'm having family problems, and dealing with health issues. I'm trying to use my coping skills and I reached out to my psychiatrist today and my therapist but I can't see my therapist for a week and my psychiatrist hasn't called me back yet. I talked to someone on a crisis line and I've been talking to my husband but nothing is seeming to help, it's just getting worse each day. I've been dealing with this for a month now and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I hope you find something or someone that helps you soon! Take care and we are always here. Most of us are sleeping right now so you will get more replies soon. I just woke up at one in the morning or so :-)
If you need to I agree to consider going to the hospital..... xo
Sometimes BP just throws a curve ball when you least need it. I've had to slam on the brakes while in school quite a few times. REST!
Advocate for what you need this make take a while to resolve. It may mean pulling over and being sidelined until you symptoms can be better managed...then resume where you left off...
By all means consider a hospital where things can often be turned around faster....XO None of this is easy!
Big hugs.
I called my psych and I was prescribed the same med Zoloft. I have taken it before in the past and it has worked but I couldn’t remember why I didn’t like it. The medicine makes me very sensitive to heat and makes me sweat, nauseous and tired. But I’m willing to deal with it for the time being because it was night and day how it made me feel.
Hope you’re feeling better!! The struggle is real and I feel ya!
