I am NOT pregnant!!

Tonight a resident asked me if I am pregnant. No. I am not. I just have fat stored in my belly. And mom pointed out that I am getting new stretch marks. This is so infuriating!! Why can't I lose this weight?!

It sucks because I know it’s the Zyprexa but dr won’t take me off it plus I am stable so I don’t want to risk losing my stability.

It’s one of the worst things women have to deal with in social settings. My body won’t go back to normal, no matter how much exercise I do. So rude.

I think it just sux period....Mine started with Seroquel and like you and Zyprexa it works so I really don't want to get off of it

I have tried a couple of other meds and they just don't do it for me... On Latuda I basically lost the ability to think

It's just something that we have to fight the best that we can... So many of these meds affect the appetite centre of the brain unfortunately .... Big hugs.....xo

Kisses! I am so sorry! Weight gain from antipsychotics/mood stabilizers suck. You can gain weight no matter what you do and no matter how hard you exercise. I just got taken off Geodon Wednesday and switched back to Latuda because I gained 20 pounds in about 3 months and I couldn’t stop crying about it. I craved nothing but sweets...I would wake up in the middle of the night to eat cookies and cakes and cereal. Every day I had to have a blue raspberry slurpy from 7-11. It was so bad that I went to 7-11 one morning to get a slurpy and the slurpy machine was down and I almost lost my whole ENTIRE mind. I told Bridget (my medication doctor) and she said antipsychotics can make you crave sugar and that’s what is making you gain weight. She put me on Topamax to curb the sugar cravings...it only worked for about 3 weeks and I was back at it again. I couldn’t take it anymore, plus the Geodon didn’t work as good as Latuda does for me (I was on Latuda for years but had to switch because I lost my health insurance). Has your doctor prescribed you anything to try to counteract the weight gain? You can always ask! Inbox me if you have any questions!
