so yesterday I wrote about my friend not understanding bipolar/anxiety and laughing/making fun of me for it..and I mentioned in that post I know its cause she doesn't understand and most likely scary..so I explained that to my mum and that what this friend said/did tho I understand why she did it still hurt me a lot as I don't think i ever have had a friend do that..
My mum got really upset and raised her voice sayin i can't expect everyone to understand even after i try to explain and my mum just kept gettin upset when I said I understand that But it still hurt alot..she got very upset with me..now im more upset cuz my mums reaction and my friend..and other things..it just doesn't wanna end!
not sayin my life is all negative there is many positives in my life rite now..guess the few I have is just buggin me more then normal

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

i'm kinda trapped for now....I just hate when I see people freaked out by the unknown and they dont think that hurts me
It sounds like a lot if not all of this negativity you are getting from your mom is not about you and is all about her. It really looks like she has (at least) some major insecurities about the situation. I have no idea what her social life is like but maybe she has some kind of conflict going on there that is affecting her.
There are a lot of people in this world that will not understand. The world is just like that. Remember though, there is also a good amount of people that are honestly compassionate, understanding people who have a lot of empathy for others. Problem is they can be real hard to find (Im still searching) but never forget they are out there.
You are completely valid in how you feel. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
My suggestion would be to let things settle a bit and then sit down with each of them and share you feelings about their reactions with them. xo
I hope that you are able to work things out with your mom and your friend.
I know that being bp sucks and dealing with the stigma associated isn't much fun either. It's hard to have friends who don't get it. You always have those of us here who do.
But I'm kind of with some of the others when it comes to your mom. She may feel guilty or very sad that you have Bipolar and it makes her sensitive to hearing that the condition is causing you problems out in the 'real world.' It's probably hard for her to see you struggle and she just wishes that you would ignore it when people behave badly out of ignorance.
I'm sorry that your own mum has trouble dealing with your BP too. It would help so much if she was more understanding!!!
I hope the crummy things quit happening to you now, for a while and that you can have some good times to counteract all this crap!!! (((((Hugs)))))
