The step kid was talking about the wii and said it belonged to the family.
I don't care if everyone in the family uses it.....but she needs to understand that I bought that wii and paid for it. My parents have their wii back. Hubby won't let me claim what I paid for he said it's being selfish. I'm a tell you what if he keeps threatening divorce on me like he always does he always says he can't take any more of my shit and is upset because I don't have a sex drive because of meds and told me today that if he's gonna have any more sex he's gotta find himself another woman on the side because I am never in the mood. If I ever leave and he divorces me and I have to find a new place I am going to take what's mine with me. That means the PS2 is mine, the stereo in the living room that the hubby bought for me as a gift is mine and the wii is mine since I paid for it.....if he really wants to get technical the couch also belongs to me because I paid for it and the shelf baskets that everyone uses in the bathroom are mine because I got them as a gift from my friend. If he ever divorces me I am going to have my dad or a friend whichever one volunteers first to help me take apart the wii so I can take it with me because I bought and paid for it out of my own money. The kids can play the wii whenever they want if their chores are done but if they ever step out of line and back talk me I can tell them who's allowed to play my wii and who's not based on good or bad behavior. Hubby started taking the wii apart and took his ring off and threw it at me last night because he said he was tired of my shit. When I didn't do anything wrong. The only thing I did was lay a claim to what belongs to me.

I do not see anything wrong with laying claim to what is yours, I do it and I make sure everyone knows it. What's mine is mine and everyone else has to ask to use it.

After two marriages I'm glad I finally wised up and I no longer have anyone to play out this endless drama with.

While in theory I agree with you I happen to think all the pettiness is wrong just because in the end its the kids that pay more than the adults. There comes a time that just walking away for the sake of peace in harmony is the most adult thing to do for the sake of all involved

I have found it is really ot worth fighting for. Just walk away. All of it can be bought again. The anguish and stress and naul bitingisnt worth it.

Have been married almost 30 yrs. We have never declared mine and yours. Life is exhausting enough to worry about such things.

You cant expect children to share - and they need to learn this lesson early on - if you cant do it. The old adage of who has the most toys wins is true bullshit in its highest form

Aunt Feather.....I'm not rich enough to leave the wii in the house for them to use if I ever get divorced. I bought it so indeed if I leave it leaves with me along with my other stuff,

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
