Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I find staying at home makes it far worse, but it's like where do u go expect to go somewhere to by food like u said or spend money somewhere that u don't have and then see others laughing , being happy ( having friends) and your sitting there alone wanting the same thing, I know the saying " the grass isn't always greener on the other side) but it seem a lot like it is most of the time.
I don't know how to get through this, but I have to be a believer that I will. I have always been a drifter and I hope one day I will be able to stop drifting and find my place in this world. I want to over come bi polar instead of it becoming who I am :S
I feel like I almost have to make friends that are in the same position as me, in order to have a friend that understands. Then again u dont wanna sit there talking about problems and negitive bullshit cause that doesn't get u anywhere.
" I just can't deal with social interactions, it either tires me or is too intense for me and I end up making a fool out of myself followed by deep self loathing. "
I feel exactly the same way. Socializing exhausts me. Loud talking-I have to get away from it after a short time or I will freak out. And if I feel enthusiastic and do something, later I might feel shame about it
