BP1 and the depression right now has lasted since the summer, I used to be a rapid cycler and have more hypomanic moods, but I have always dealt with a lot of depression too.

BP2. It's really hard for me to tell a lot of the time when I am and am not depressed. Time doesn't matter Minimum is typically a week, but I think I just recently came out of a low that went at least one month. I've been Wellbutrin for the last two years with a small, uprescribed break last summer, but it really curbs the depression: no crying jags or similar things. I do get mad at myself and have little motivation, but that's better than it used to be and has a lot to do with things in my life that I'm starting to take control of and improve.

BP1, and a few hours to months. Sometimes even when I am fully Manic I still have depressive symptoms. I realize that's technically a Mixed State but it's beyond that.

I've had one for 2 weeks now. They usually only last a few days, I rapid cycle.

i have recently been in a depressive stage, mostly because i have court and i am worried--it is also making me re-visit a trauma i survived in the military some years ago.

Manic episodes are exceptional in the beginning and I usually love it, but by the end of the day or night....I am usually pretty suicidal--so i wonder if it's even worth it

I have BP 2. I have mixed states and the depression element is always there, even when I am hypomanic. There have only been short stretches of time that I have felt normal in the last fifteen years.

Intermittent and I'm vitamin D deficient in the Pacific NW - it's roller coaster ride.

bp1/mixed NEVER goes away completely. I am always having some kind of crazy mixed up day....... It never goes away.

BP1 and years, I'm always in a mild to strong depressive state with the medication I'm on.

BP II. My depressions usually last 5-6 months, with medication. My first and so far only manic episode lasted 2 months, untreated.

I'm bp2. Right now, my hypomanic episodes tend to last about 2 weeks or so. For me, it's hard to see the difference between dysphoric hypomania and depression so I may have longer periods of hypomania. The difference for me is the anger, the lack of sleep, and the energy and aggression that I actually have when hypo that I don't have when I'm depressed. My old therapist was able to help me identify those periods, but my new one hasn't really helped me there.

My last period of depression lasted over a year.

My pdoc says it's bp1 with psychosis. BUT... my mania phases are mild and usually at the same time as the depression. I know that makes no sense at all. The depression is constant and has been for 16 years. There are sometimes a week here and there when I don't want to sleep, have the racing thoughts (which are being controlled by generic lamical). It's like right now.. I want to sleep but I can't sleep. I've tried. I would say it's a mania but the depression is still there too.
