If you are on ss disability, medicare/medicad check into a QMB...at least that's what it's called in CT. .. that takes away the monthly cost of medicare premiums. Check with the social security dept to find out what the income limit is per month to qualify for medicad...if you qualify, then your meds should be paid for ... minus a copay. Sometimes they will sub a generic med for name brand...don't know if latuda has that or not.

Sometimes too you can contact the company direct, or get dr samples. In any case, show the card to your pharmacy and they will tell you how to use it.

There are some drugs that big pharma will give free for low income. Check to see what company puts out your medication & then check to see if they have a free prescription drug peogram for that medication. If so, there will be a form you can print & take to the doctor to have signed and turned in.

I hope your meds qualify! I have been in the same spot and have gone without needed meds for lack of cash. I don't wish that on anyone.

I think latuda is still pretty new though so you’re likely better trying to reach out about samples and other programs like others have mentioned.

Speaking of older meds - I may be somewhat paranoid, but I tell my dr to only prescribe meds for me that were approved before the FDA began fast-tracking new medications. I think it is incredibly bad form to be able to pay the government to approve a drug without having all the standard clinical trials and whatnot. Could be trust issues come into play, but I am pretty sure my best interests fall short in comparison to cash windfalls in the eyes of our governmental representatives, ya know? lol They are kinda jerks.

here in ny you can buy into medicaid i only have a copay less than 3.00 z yprexa is expensive and the insurance covers it i have to have prior approval 1 a yr high dose and medicare and mediicaidn covers it all never out of meds except this yearm because if a new np who is a dumb ass pill pusher wants me to call only if i want more she never read my records besides the point it is a little more but it may be worth it

Ohhh man! Just thought of this ... CANADA! Try checking the Canadian drug store websites!! You may have to fax or email in your script, but their prices are so much lower! Also India and Mexico, but they carry mostly same things plus some culturally used medicines.

I was looking into this not long ago, actually. I do a lot of various research and digging because I'm super curious and am just really big on facts.

Several years ago I eas looking at pharmacuetical pricing in U.S. in comparison and why pricing is so high (ridiculous, unnecessary gov't restrictions coupled with unfetterd capitalism, of course lol).
I found that, although other countries use the same ingredients we do, they may use different, non-toxic materials for stuff like filler, gel caps, etc It is the manufactured fear of the POSSIBILITY toxic materials COULD be used that allowed this regulation to be put in place.

Fun Fact - I guess we also send ingredients, for some meds, to China to be put in pill form because its cheaper on our pharmacuetical companies. hahaha How contrary and messed up is that?

DO NOT use any Canadian Drug Store Sites online...for 1 they are illegal if you live in the States and try to get drugs out of the U.S. from a website that does not require a prescription, 2. you have no idea what are actually in those pills that they send you. There have been reports of people getting pet meds, placebo's that have no active ingredients in them, and pills with ingredients in them that they did not order. Also the FDA and DEA are now tracking those websites so you can get in a lot of legal trouble.

If a website does not require a Prescription for a medication that is required to have one, then there is something illegally off with that website....don't be stupid.

During cold weather, taking a bath more than once a month is illegal in Lander, Wyo. Like buying prescription drugs from Canada (as long as it is no more than a 3 month supply and for personal use), this law is on the books but no longer enforced.

There are plenty of scam meds pushers in the U.S. and likely everywhere. That is why there are several sites you can use to find legitimate online pharmacies.

2 minutes of Google search tells you this. Researching for facts or using a credible source is much safer than relying on hearsay, so medical advice, especially, should be fully vetted information.
