Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I tend to be very irritable when hypomanic. I have nasty mixed episodes too, and I also get myself into a lot of trouble during hypomanic episodes.
I guess it is bored and flat for me for a while. Atleast I won't be getting into trouble huh?? lol
I think that maybe I looked at my eyebrows when I was plucking them or my teeth when I was brushing them or maybe just my hair when I was styling it. I don't think I see the sum of all my parts when I am hypomanic or when I am depressed.
I almost think that cognitively and emotionally I have the same experiences. I can not multi-task; I am really quite adept at many activities but only one at a time.
When I am hypomanic I manage to accomplish a lot; I can start something, finish it and move on to the next activity or task quickly and easily.
When I am depressed I get bogged down in one activity and I can't see to complete it and I can't move on.
When I am in that middle ground (norm), I have no opinion, no preferences, no particular interests, and often absolutely nothing to say to anyone. I manage to get things done but I still can't multi-task
