I've been off of my meds since November. I'm on Lamictal and Wellbutrin. Seroquel if my sleep was really bad but I didn't like taking it every night because it made it hard to function during the day, even on the smallest dose. This isn't the first time I've gone off of my meds but I feel like that problem patient who can't do anything consistently. I've been diagnosed for almost three years now and I'm 18 this summer. Everything in my life has been pretty okay, therefore my moods have been stable even without the medication. I'm moving this summer and starting college in the fall and things like these usually set me off. Last time I moved to a new city and school I ended up in the hospital. Maybe actually being on my medication will make the transition easier. I guess I'm just looking for someone to tell me to woman up and tell her that I've been lying for months about being on my pills. Thanks guys

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

Bipolar is a treatable illness and you can have stability if you work with it and not against it... I wish you well in your transition....x
Going to college is so huge and different...a big trigger. But it is so much better when you can stay on meds and actually enjoy the experience, rather than being on the rollercoaster of feelings.
Good for you that you are being proactive in asking for help on here, and good luck!
I played games with a med and hid it from the doc once. The outcome wasn't good.
I took seroquel and for like the first six months it kicked the hell out of me. The early morning zombie thing. Funny thing I kinda liked the feeling, but being a recovered substance abuse user it makes sense. After the first 6 months I lost that warm fuzzy feeling at the dose level I was on, and was fine in the morning.
I started to take more because as I said I liked that fuzzy feeling especially if I was off from work the next day. Got honest with the pdoc and he said that seroquel does have a street value. Thank goodness I did as I was pretty much at the maximum dose level at the end.
