How do I send a hug with new format?

How do I send a hug in response to a post--do I click the heart next to the post?  And I can't find my friends.  Frustrated.

A person has to be on your friends list in order to send a hug... Then you go up to your avi and click on hugs and put in the persons name or you can go to their page and click on the little heart icon at the top of the page to send them a hug...xo

Since we are doubling volunteer wages (zero dollars), I vote we raise their wages by a kajillion percent. They are worth far more than that.

I have also sent hugs by clicking on the name in the post. It carries me to their profile and I then click the heart in the profile header. Haven't registered if that is a "formal friends only" function. On the old site open security settings didn't block random hugs but I haven't tested that limit here.
